YOUNG MINDS GET AN AUDIENCE AT MAKE IN INDIA

Tuesday saw winners of the week-long Hackathon, which was held at IIT Bombay, present their ideas to venture capitalists and government officials at the Make in india event at the BKC. Entries with ideas for the Hackathon had come thick and fast. Students from across the country, aspiring entrepreneurs, dispatched startup ideas and of the 150 who applied, ten each were chosen to solve urban design problems in the field of water, energy and transportation, events coders, engineers and designers congregated at IIT-B for the event, Each proposal had a two to four student interdisciplinary team and a mentor.
Runners-up, Sanjay Kumar and Gokul Srinivas from Vellore Institute of Technology, Chennai & Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore founded Energyly, which is in the business of energy analytics for business enterprises to help reduce power costs to an affordable price point.
